Approximately 1 out of every 8 dollars spent online via credit card in North America are processed through CyberSource. The company is profitable and public, with the stock traded on NASDAQ. Position Description: The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop and implement web applications that are the primary interface between CyberSource and our customers. CyberSource currently processes millions of transactions daily, and is in the process of incorporating emerging technologies to ensure the systems are scalable, with the ability to handle a rapidly growing customer base, along with ever increasing volume of transactions.
The work requires strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver on tight schedules, while maintaining the quality of delivered products. Plus, an ability to clearly communicate ideas with technical and non technical audiences.
Requirements:• 8+ years experience developing Java applications • Experience with MVC based 3 tier Web Application development using J2EE • Proven JDBC and relational database experience in engineering, optimization and performance with commercial-grade databases such as Sybase or Oracle • Well versed with J2EE methodologies and implementations (JBoss experience is a plus)• Familiar with XML and associated tools (XSLT, Web Services, SOAP) • Experience utilizing Logical Data Modeling methodologies • Experience with the STRUTS MVC framework • Familiarity with JSTL, JSF, AJAX, CSS is a plus • Strong UNIX background is a plus
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a Master’s degree a plus
