Vanessa Burnette in NW Austin is looking for a Linux Developer for a 3-6 month engagement. Ideally they are looking for someone to work through EOY. (This position is not a fit for a System Admin. with scripting exp.)
The developer will be working on an enterprise application that is based on Linux architecture. The developer will need to establish and build systems for automated QA processes.
Ideally they would like someone to have experience with custom Linux Distribution:
The requirements are: Extensive Linux experience, Fedora/Redhat preferred * Have created/extended an rpm .spec file ANT Experience * PERL experience/Scripting * Has built a Linux kernel * Linux System tuning experience. Preferred: LDAP experience * VM experience * Java *Active Directory authentication (implementers’ POV) *Nagios * Accurev * Experience tuning Linux systems to become network appliances * Experience building ISP infrastructure using Linux.
