Solar Winds seeks Lead Systems Engineer
The Senior Systems Engineer will evaluate, design, and maintain Microsoft Exchange, AD, DNS, IIS, and other key MS server infrastructure components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installs, maintains, and repairs Microsoft Exchange, AD, DNS, and other key MS server infrastructure components
• Evaluates, installs, and tests systems/network hardware and software
• Integrates information systems
• Maintains data, software, and hardware security and emergency procedures
• Sets up user accounts on company's servers and runs necessary system backups
• Maintains contact with application owners and end users to meet business and user needs
• Assists department manager in on-going assessment and upgrading of data systems
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends hardware and software for systems and helps manager plan for the future
• Troubleshoots complex server and client problems
• Serves as a contact for vendors of equipment and services
• Reviews contracts for systems support, services, and products
Essential Education and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 7-10 years of systems experience
• MCSE preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of core Microsoft server products
• Reasonable knowledge of networking, voice, and other related technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven project leadership abilities
