How to Apply
For immediate consideration, please answer the following 3 questions to the best of your ability.
1. Requirement
An application receives three integer values as input. The three values are interpreted as representing the lengths of the sides of a triangle. The application prints a message that states whether the triangle is scalene, isosceles, or equilateral.
Write a set of test cases that would adequately test this application
2. Requirement
Your mother states that you must eat three well-balanced, nutritious meals a day.
Write a set of test cases to determine whether this requirement has been met?
3. General Discussion
Suppose that you have an existing web-based application. Portions of the application are written in Java (JSP, Struts, Spring, etc) and other portions are written in .Net (ASP.Net web-forms, n-tier architecture). The back-end is a SQL server database. Assume that existing test coverage is sparse - consisting of some unit tests and some manual screen testing. Assume that the application must support IE6 and modern browsers.

1. Briefly describe how you would go about putting together an automated test suite for this application. Are there existing frameworks that you would use or would you start from scratch?
2. How would you research and plan your test project(s)?
a. How would you determine where to start adding test coverage?
b. What aspects of the system would you want to test?
3. How would you verify correct screen behavior for different browsers? (multiple versions of IE, Firefox, etc …)
4. What integration points would you want between the existing code base and the test suite?
