Newgistics seeks Senior Software Quality Engineer

Responsible for test planning, test execution, test harness development and software configuration management for scalable enterprise-level system software applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Scope test plan development and test execution efforts and provide accurate time and resource estimates for these tasks
· Create Software Test Plans from Market Requirements Documents and Software Functional Specifications
· Execute functional tests for enterprise-level system software applications, record issues encountered, and assist in the resolution and verification of issues
· Design, develop, execute and maintain load tests for complex web-based applications
· Design, develop, execute and maintain testing applications, test harnesses and software product installation scripts in a variety of languages including C#, SQL, VBScript, JavaScript, and Perl
Develop and maintain tools and scripts for the configuration management of complex software applications
· Develop and maintain SQL scripts for the creation of sample datasets for use in test execution
· Assist the IT and Development staff in the analysis, reproduction and resolution of production issues

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· 5+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance working with enterprise-level complex software applications

· 3+ years experience developing applications, scripts or test harnesses in one or more of the following languages: C#, SQL, VBScript, JavaScript, Perl

· 3+ years experience with SQL databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle preferred), including the ability to understand database schema, construct and execute SQL queries, and develop SQL scripts

· B.S. preferred in computer science, information systems, mathematics or other related technical discipline

· Excellent written/oral communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as a team member
