Mid-senior level QA Analyst. Ideal candidate should be able to help build a test framework from the ground up. Candidate must have tested client - server software products in an Agile/Iterative environment. Be responsible for the overall test strategy for one of more projects, including both the manual and automated test components.
Candidate should have prior automated test experience with a high level of scripting experience.
Proficient with commercially available test and software development tools. Would likely be responsible for leading a team of 3-5 test analysts. This position typically requires 5-7 years relevant development / QA /software/systems experience.
Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels
Ability to design automated custom QA solutions without relying on commercial software packages
Ability to solve problems creatively
Ability to launch new projects and follow through to completion
Design, develop, and document features for automated test system.
Design and implement automated test scripts, test harness features and functionality
Verify that the design is fully implemented and performs as expected, with minimal rework.
Defect identification and resolution.
Provide technical mentorship to other team members.
Manage their own time, plan their own work, and meet deadlines.
Work with QA test team, Mathematicians, Developers and Systems Engineers.
Willingness and ability to create and adapt to new technologies
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Understanding different network topologies and troubleshooting network configurations.
Proven experience with C#/.Net or Java for commercial software development. (Optional)
Proven experience with MS SQL server.
Ability to write T-SQL scripts
Windows and/or Mac OS development experience.
Functional and Automated Test Application development
Thorough knowledge and practical application of object-oriented modeling, design, and development.
Demonstrated history of initiative, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and part of a team, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated experience in a technical software development role.
Well versed in software development best practices: FDD, SCM, CI, and SDLC.
Experience using design patterns and UML modeling preferred.
